I ran across your blog today. Really great stuff! Your story on the Star of Hope visit captures the moment perfectly. Most of us don't make the effort much of the time to develop empathy in our kids. And when we do, sometimes the lessons we choose work, sometimes they don't seem to work. But they are seeds, some will germinate.

OK, now I'm just blowing up your blog with comments ;) I thought this article might give you some happy tears today. This is Milena's fabulous 2nd grade teacher. Talk about teaching kids about community! I love her and her big heart and even bigger ideas about what is possible to do with kiddos in a public school. http://www.theleadernews.com/?p=9819
